Introducing Cue Player Lighting

 Top Next

Cue Player Lighting came about as a need at the theater, where I serve as Technical Director, to replace our aging Horizon system. It runs via a parallel port to dmx converter box and although it served us well, the fear was that should anything happen to it we would be 'up the creek'.

I choose the Enttec Pro as a viable replacement interface and modeled the software user interface after the Horizon system and that of Cue Player Premium.

There was also the need to be able to run a show with just one booth operator. Rather than have that person go back an forth between two keyboards, Cue Player Lighting was built to be able to act as a slave to the sound program. One cue list (albeit a large one) and one keyboard.
